From MEDIATE to PRISM: MSAP Continues to be at the Forefront of The Philippines Media Industry

Navigating the constant flow of information and audience preferences in the rapidly evolving media landscape can be daunting.

However, it is both possible and crucial.

That is why the Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) has been working to unite media professionals to create an effective, globally competitive, and transparent media industry.

To this end, MSAP launched MEDIATE in 2020.

MEDIATE intends to share knowledge and resources with everyone in the Association. Keynote speakers discuss their experiences and learnings in their field of expertise, and MSAP members connect and network with one another, leading the way to partnerships and collaborations.

The project was a resounding success.

Throughout 13 events, MSAP members have benefited from knowledge-sharing opportunities from industry leaders from the entire spectrum of media. From broadcasting to billboards, traditional to social media, and even exposure to local and international trends, big names from every industry were willing to give insights about what they knew to everyone.

MEDIATE has allowed MSAP to connect with people from organizations such as the Ad Standards Council (ASC) of the Philippines, the Philippine National Association of Advertisers (PANA), and many of the leading media companies known nationally and internationally.

The latest MEDIATE happened on January 25, 2024, as a prelude to the 2024-2025 MSAP Board of Officers’ induction ceremony. As a testament to its effectiveness in positively changing the media industry, it will continue under a new name: PRISM.

The impact of MEDIATE will forever be felt, and its essence will continue under MSAP’s new leadership.
