MSAP HOLDS 2022-2023 Officers Induction Ceremony and 2021 ICE Awards

 

The Media Specialists Association of the Philippines (MSAP) takes pride in the success of the 2022-2023 Officers Induction and 2021 ICE Awards recently held on March 30, 2022.

 

The online event kicked off with the Induction Ceremony where the incoming officers took their oath. The newly-inducted MSAP Board Officers are Jam de Guzman of PHD Philippines (President), Memo Moreno of Mindshare (Vice President), Joy Castillo of OMG (Secretary), Angel Apa-ap of Mediacom (Treasurer), Maita Consulta of Mediabrands (Audit and Measurement Lead), Quad Dela Paz of Dentsu (Digital Lead), and Dinna Zaratan of Carat (ASC Lead).

 

During the ceremony, Carlo Katigbak, President and CEO of ABS-CBN Corporation, served as the keynote speaker and inducting officer. In his speech, Mr. Katigbak focused on resilience, relating the event’s theme to what the corporation has experienced for the past two years. He said that there are two parts to resilience, the pain of great loss and the difficult journey to recovery. Through the ordeal, he shared that the corporation learned humility, the humility to step out of their bubble and keep their service to the Filipinos even outside of the corporation’s established channels. Mr. Katigbak also extended his gratitude to everyone who expressed their sympathy and willingness to help during the challenging situation.

 
The Induction Ceremony was followed by the glamorous 2021 ICE Awards with the theme, “The Resilience of Excellence.” The theme was inspired by the entries of this year’s awards which were produced, aired,

and implemented during the peak of the pandemic. MSAP acknowledged how excellence surfaces even during trying times.
 

Metal awards were distributed among seven categories, namely, Single Medium, Multimedia, Activation, Branded Content, Digital, Data, and Advocacy.
 
Before the event ended, special awards were also given. MILO Philippines’ MILO Home Court Activation Campaign by GroupM got the Best Insight Award. Unilever Philippines’ Pond’s x Cosmo PinkLab by Mindshare bagged the Best in Creative Media Award. The Best in Effectiveness Award was given to PLDT Home’s Internet-in-a-Day Activation Campaign by Wavemaker. Unilever Philippines was proclaimed as the Advertiser of the Year while Mindshare was hailed as the Media Agency of the Year.

 

Jam de Guzman, the new MSAP President, concluded the event by acknowledging the resilience of media agencies during the pandemic and how they handled all the clients’ increased demands while safeguarding the welfare of their employees. He recognized the committees’ help and congratulated everyone who were awarded.
